O​AKFIELD -​ Dwayne Louis Campbell​,​ 78​,​ passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at his residence. He was born February 16, 1944 in Washburn the son of Vaughn W. and Margaret A. (McDuff)​ ​Campbell. ​Dwayne grew up in Washburn and graduated from Washburn High School in 1962. He attended Aroostook State Teachers College, now the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He then attended and graduated from Faith School of Theology now located in Charleston Maine. ​Dwayne enjoyed playing sports, especially tennis and golf. Dwayne pastored the First Assembly of God Church in York, Pennsylvania for 33 years before retiring in May 2010. Dwayne leaves behind his wife of 56 years Jeanette (Mitchell​​)​ ​Campbell of Oakfield. His brothers Richard (Rachel) Campbell of Mapleton, Dale (Brenda) Campbell of Washburn, Terry (Donna) Campbell of Milford, and Vaughn Jr. (Sharon) Campbell of El Dorado, California. His sisters Patsy (Fred) Flewelling of Crouseville, Debbie (Dean) Bird of Orono and Cheryl (Rodney) Sperry of Washburn along with many nieces, nephews​,​ and cousins. Friends may call Friday, December 30 from 10 to 11 AM at the Washburn Pentecostal Church Washburn, with a funeral service will be held at 11 AM with the Revs. Bruce Blakeney and Raymond Sullivan officiating.
